Linear Vending Machine System Version 1.31
The Vending Machine System was custom developed in response to a request from a client who deals with the sales of products through vending machines. The main purpose of the system is to enable the management to track the product sales and money collection from each vending machine in the market.
Each time a service person visits a vending machine to replenish sold products, a form is filled out to indicate the quantity of each stock item that was replenished and the amount of money collected during the visit. The information is then keyed into the Vending Machine System in order for daily and monthly tracking purposes. Reports showing daily and monthly sales and collection, cash variances, machine performance, packtype performance and so on can then be generated for management. Salesperson and outlet commission can also be calculated.
The system was requested in order to ensure that the collection from each machine was in line with the quantity of products sold and replenished on each visit. This will help decide which machines or locations are profitable, the amount of stock to be ordered in order to replenish sold products and so on. The client believes that having such information on a daily basis would benefit both their customers and the company in the long run.
